New Standards for Impact-Resistant Gloves

ANSI/ISEA 138 Standards for Impact-Resistant Gloves

The risk of impact injury is high for many applications in the energy sector. Hand protection that can prevent or reduce force from heavy objects is critical to worker safety, especially when working with large machinery, moving pipe, drilling or extracting. New ANSI/ISEA 138 standards for impact-resistant gloves were introduced in 2019, providing 3 classifications of protection against impact hazards on knuckles and fingers. These new standards provide transparency when comparing impact-resistant glove options, making it easier to choose the best style for each application.
